Cookie Policy
What is stored in your browser, and what only runs if you allow it.
1. Scope
This policy explains the cookies and similar browser-storage technologies used on this website, operated by A&K Worldwide Enterprises FZCO under the trading division A&K TECHPARTS.
2. Categories
This website distinguishes four categories:
- Strictly necessary — required for the site to function. Set without consent.
- Preference — remember choices you make, such as language.
- Analytics — measure how the site is used. Only after consent.
- Marketing — measure advertising campaigns. Only after consent.
3. Strictly necessary and preference storage in use
- akc_cookie_consent — category: strictly necessary. Purpose: stores your cookie decision so you are not asked again. Provider: this website (first party). Storage: browser local storage. Duration: until you clear it or change your choice.
- akc_part_list — category: preference. Purpose: keeps the parts you added to the enquiry list in the part selector, so the list survives a page reload. It holds part numbers, manufacturer names and the quantities you type — nothing else, and it is never sent anywhere until you submit an enquiry. Provider: this website (first party). Storage: browser local storage. Duration: until you send the enquiry, press “Clear list” or clear your browser storage.
- akc_lang — category: preference. Purpose: stores the interface language you selected so it applies on later visits. Provider: this website (first party). Storage: browser local storage. Duration: until you clear it or change your choice.
The enquiry form additionally uses an in-page hidden field to detect automated submissions. It is not stored in your browser after the page is closed.
4. Analytics and marketing technologies
The following third-party technologies are used on this website. Both are controlled by the consent banner.
- Google Analytics 4 — provider: Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland. Purpose: measuring which pages are used and which lead to enquiries. Measurement ID G-LT3XDVXKWG. IP addresses are shortened before storage. Category: analytics.
- Meta Pixel — provider: Meta Platforms Ireland Limited, Merrion Road, Dublin 4, Ireland. Purpose: measuring the success of advertising campaigns on Facebook and Instagram. Pixel ID 1336273991625382. Category: marketing.
Legal basis is your consent under Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR where the GDPR applies. Both providers may transfer data to the United States. Google and Meta are certified under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework; residual risks of access by foreign authorities cannot be excluded.
Where the law requires prior consent — the EEA, the United Kingdom, Switzerland and Türkiye — neither technology transmits anything until you agree. In other countries they are active by default and you can switch them off at any time using the banner or the Cookie Settings link in the footer.
5. Managing and withdrawing consent
You can change or withdraw your consent at any time using the Cookie Settings link in the footer of every page. The banner reappears if you clear your browser storage.
You can also delete cookies and local storage in your browser settings. Blocking strictly necessary storage may prevent the language selector and the enquiry form from working correctly.
6. Third-party requests
Typography uses fonts delivered from this website itself; no font service is contacted. Apart from the technologies named in section 4, no third-party scripts or trackers are loaded. Where prior consent is required, those two are loaded but transmit nothing until you agree.
7. More information
How we handle personal data generally is described in our privacy policy. Cookie and privacy enquiries: contact@aok-enterprises.com.
